Las etiquetas nutricionales y su influencia en las decisiones de compras

Resumen

El aumento de la cifra de personas que sufren de obesidad o sobrepeso ha hecho que la mayoría de los gobiernos pongan en marcha acciones para concienciar a la población de los peligros que conlleva. Entre estas acciones destaca la obligatoriedad o recomendación de incluir etiquetas nutricionales en los productos que adviertan de altos contenidos en sal, grasa o azúcar, entre otros. Dentro de dichas etiquetas está el denominado “semáforo alimenticio” que ya es utilizado en el Reino Unido desde 2004 y en Ecuador desde 2014, y que es el objeto de análisis del presente trabajo. Mediante una revisión bibliográfica, se pretende explicar qué variables influyen en la percepción que tienen los consumidores del semáforo alimenticio en su decisión de compra
